Behind the Scenes: Divine Timing Album Creation
Every album has a story. Divine Timing wasn’t just an album—it was a series of moments that fell into place. Here’s how it came together beat by beat, line by line.
The Seed of an Idea
The phrase “Divine Timing” kept popping up—in conversations, on random billboards, in meditation. I felt it was a sign. I started collecting loops and writing verses that explored synchronicity and patience. The album’s theme was set.
Beat Selection & Production
I worked with three producers who understood the vibe: moody pads, warm basslines, and head‑knocking drums. We’d start with a sample or a synth patch and build from there. Some tracks came together in an afternoon; others took months to find the right hook.
Lyrics & Storytelling
Divine Timing is about trusting the process. Songs like “Wait on It” and “Synchronicity” reflect my personal journey—balancing ambition with surrender. I wrote verses in coffee shops, on planes, and late at night when the city was asleep.
Recording & Mixing
We tracked at a small studio in San Diego with a vintage Neve console. The warmth of analog gear gave the album its signature depth. Mixing took three weeks—every vocal had to sit just right, every transition smooth.
The Cover & Visuals
The cover is a photograph taken at golden hour on the beach—sky split between blue and gold, symbolizing the moment when everything aligns. That image became the visual anchor for the entire project.
Release & Response
When Divine Timing dropped, the streams were immediate but modest. What surprised me was the DMs—people connecting with the message. That’s when I knew the album had done its job.
